Beastslain are a foul kind of creature. Created from the ashes of common beasts that were burnt to death, they can only be brought into existence by Death Arts. Immune to most pain and difficult to kill, their one weakness is fire, thus the adage, “Ashes to ashes.”

These beasts are most commonly found in the outskirts of major cities, far enough from civilization to resist it, but close enough to prey on hapless villagers and their children. Occasionally some beastslain will become strong enough to carry off the villagers' animals and transform them into lesser-beastslain.
